My Story
Hi, I'm Kyle — a web developer with over 15 years of experience and a passionate beekeeper for the past 4.
APiLOG was born out of my own frustration. I couldn’t find a beekeeping app that was simple, and easy to use in the field — especially with sticky fingers on mobile. Most apps I tried were overloaded with features I didn’t need, fell apart on mobile or focused on integrating with expensive monitoring equipment. What I really wanted was a clean, intuitive tool to record inspections, track hive health, something that could capture voice notes and automatically convert transcripts into measurable data points that could be viewed over time.
I believe good beekeeping starts with good record-keeping — often, less is more.
That’s why I built APiLOG: to simplify hive management for beekeepers like me. It's got to be affordable, easy, fast, not complicated.
